Ok…so here’s a random comment…on a random post of yours (but I must say, I AM going to try the above asparagus. I think the family would love, love, love):

Anyway, as I was moving some things around, I caught sight of the followers on my page, saw your pic and remembered how much I enjoyed your blog! Not sure if you moved to a different address…or if my page isn’t catching your feed…but I hope to read more about all the beauties (words, pictures and such) you shared in the months past. If you’re just taking a break…I’m so sorry to barge my opinion in this space…I say, more power to you :) Just wanted to offer some kind words your way. It’s always nice to feel appreciated…and encouraged.

Can you tell I was a third grade teacher at one time?

What a precious little girl! This is the perspective I want to impart to all mommies; the preciousness of these fleeting moments. I tell young mommas who fret over the small stuff that I have an advantage in my thinking because my oldest is 26 years old and I DO know how quickly it all goes. It took me awhile to arrive to this way of thinking :( I was THRILLED when the Lord blessed us with our 10th Kingdom Warrior 3 weeks after my 45th birthday! Michael Ray is now 14 months old and I do not take a moment for granted! You have blessed this older momma’s heart today :)

So you have had no problem even though you repainted the candlestick covers? My dad (electrician) said I should not because paint is flamable, but I was considering doing it anyways. Any thoughts?

i repainted a chandelier too and it really does make ALL the difference!! it’s amazing how an old, broken-down, cheapy-cheap light fixture can change so dramatically with a can of spray paint! your’s turned out perfectly…

Oh how I wish I could grow those as beautiful as yours in San Diego! I am inland and it is hotter here than the coastal area, I LOVE hydrangeas and am so bummed I can not have a garden full of them!
